The ASA East Region Open Water Championships will be held at Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre, Norwich on Sunday 18 July 2010.
As in previous years, there are 0.8k, 1.5k, 3k and 5k events. The entry form can be emailed in, so you can download it, fill it in, send it to me for checking and I will send everyone’s form in together.
The shorter events have become very popular and this year you have to submit an entry time for the 0.8k and 1.5k events. This can be a pool-based time, so most of you have one, but if there are too many swimmers the slowest will be excluded. It follows that if you want to be sure to get in you should enter the 3k or 5k events. Our top squads do 5k in an average training session, so all of you are capable of swimming those distances.
This year, Bedfordshire ASA will be awarding medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Beds County swimmers home in each event, male and female, junior and senior (not the age group categories designated by the region).
Completed entry forms and cheques (payable to Flitwick Dolphins S.C.) to Nigel Halford by Monday 31 May 2010 at the latest please (disregard instructions to the contrary in the Entry Pack).
