There has been an excellent response and two adjustments are necessary to
balance the programme and ensure that all events can be completed within the available time.
Any swimmer unable to compete at the revised time should contact Diane immediately. There is no extra charge to swimmers: the original £5 cap still applies. Regular Sunday morning training on Sunday 25th at Bedford will start late at 8:00am.
The format will be similar to last year – the qualification age for entering each event will be calculated on 16 March 2008 to align it with next year's County Championships. Prizes and trophies will however be awarded according to age on 31 December 2007 as has been the case previously, with Boys/Girls U10, U12, U14, U16 and 16+ age groups. To ensure fairness, Championship Points will be awarded for an event only if all swimmers in the age-group are eligible to compete (1st = 6 points, 2nd = 5 points, etc.).
Current holders please return your trophy as soon as possible to Ann Wren or any committee member.
Platinum, Sprint and Gold Squads are expected to enter ALL events for which they are eligible. |
Silver and Bronze Squads are expected to enter the events advised by Becky. Check your Club folder for a personalised entry form or click here! |
Bridging Squad are encouraged to enter Novice events and should collect an entry form or advice from Steve. |
Diamond Squad are welcome to enter too! |
Please ask your usual squad coach to sign your entry form to verify your ability to enter – there are no formal qualifying times. Cost: £2 per event capped at £5 per session.
Entry forms must be fully completed including ASA Registration Number, which is printed on your plastic ASA Membership Card. If this is not available, please ask at the Club Desk or contact the ASA Membership desk directly on 01509 618765. Experienced competitors may check their number on the ASA rankings database (enter club code MBDT and select any event that you have swum at a licensed meet).
Completed entry forms and cheques (payable to Flitwick Dolphins S.C.) to the Club desk or to Nicola Simmons or Nigel Halford by Friday 2 November please.

Volunteer helpers are very welcome and plenty will be needed to ensure everything runs smoothly: please contact the Committee.
Please check the Draft Entries List below. There has been an excellent response and it is likely that some adjustments to the programme will be necessary to ensure that no entries are rejected — details will be posted shortly. Note that "NT" times are listed as 30:00.00 for seeding purposes.
Late entries may still be accepted subject to a spare lane being available but will not attract Championship points.
Entry cards are being produced and will be distributed at training sessions from
Wednesday 14 November. Please collect your cards and check them carefully. Cards must be posted before the times stated above in order to compete — don't lose them or forget!
