Chiltern League – 28 January 2006
Flitwick Dolphins
got off to a flying start in 2006 winning the First Round of the Chiltern
League on Saturday night in Amersham.
The
first win of the evening was achieved by 12 year old Simon Weighell in the 14
and under 50m Butterfly gaining both maximum points for the Club and a new
Personal Best for himself. He also
secured First Place in the 50m Breaststroke.
Connor
Beck, James Winder, Harry Wilson and Joe McGarry made up the Boys 10 years and
under Medley Relay team which they took in just 1.38.69 seconds securing
another 6 points. Connor, 9 years also
finished first in his 50m Freestyle event setting himself a new Personal Best
of 51.37 seconds.
11 year
old Laura Conti won first place in the 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly and Medley
Relay along with team mates Sofia Aatkar, Natasha Abbott and Felicity Gray.
The 14
and under Boys events saw Carl Halford swim to victory in the 50m Backstroke,
Toby Wilson in the 50m Freestyle and their corresponding Medley Relay also gained
the Dolphins maximum points along with fellow swimmers, Simon and Colin
Weighell.
Other
winners included Colin Weighell, Georgina Stewart, in their respective
Breaststroke events and Felicity Gray for the 12 and under 50m Freestyle.
Flitwick
Dolphins finished 22 points clear and look forward to Round 2 next month.
