Biggleswade Christmas Relay Gala – December 2006

Flitwick Dolphins performed outstandingly at the recent Biggleswade Christmas Relay Gala, storming to victory by a clear 30 points.

The youngsters all swam brilliantly but the 12 years and under Mixed Medley Relay Team comprising Charlotte Beck, Thomas Winder, Leah Neary and Aran Chamberlain-Clark led the way, having played their Joker, finishing in first place, the fastest team by 22 seconds.

Ian Murray, Kelly Brinkler, Ian Davies, Nigel Halford and Tracey Minney between them made up the Adult Relay Teams and, doing their Club proud, impressively won both their Freestyle and Medley relays.

First place was also achieved by the 12 and under Boys Breaststroke Team who again won by 8 seconds as did the Mixed 10 years and under Medley Team. A further 13 wins followed for the Dolphins, along with 12 second places and 7 thirds during the evening.

Every swimmer put on a superb performance – what a way to finish the year! Flitwick Dolphins would like to say, “Well done to everyone that swam for us and everyone who helped out in 2006.”
