Chiltern League Round One – 27 January 2007
Flitwick Dolphins competed in the first round of this year’s Chiltern League at Leighton Buzzard. Despite finishing 5th overall, the evening saw some excellent performances resulting in 24 Personal Bests and one Club Record.
First places were achieved by Sam Tilbury in the Ladies 100m Breaststroke, Loren Chamberlain-Clark in the Mens 100m Backstroke and Emilio Cuandu in the 12U 50m Freestyle. The Girls 12U Freestyle Relay and the Boys 14U Freestyle Relay also pulled off impressive wins.
Aran Chamberlain-Clark (100m Freestyle), Clara Neary (50m Backstroke), Kimberley Burrows (50m Fly) and Bethany Francis (50m Freestyle) also finished in first place but were awarded “speeding tickets” for being too fast in this graded gala. Aran’s excellent swim also earned him a new Club Record.
Well done to all swimmers, some of whom competed for their Club for the first time. Round Two is on 24 February.
