Beds ASA County Championships Sessions 1-5 – March 2007
Flitwick Dolphins Swimming Club put in another magnificent performance at the second session of the County Championships on 10th/11th March, bringing their haul in the Championships so far to 25 Gold, 15 Silver and 24 Bronze medals and amassing a total of 6 National Qualifying Times, 39 Regional Qualifying Times, 37 Club Records and 157 Personal Bests.
Bringing home Gold in the individual events were Hayden Davies (200m Backstroke, 200m Freestyle), Aran Chamberlain-Clark (50m Fly), Aled Jones (800m and 200m Freestyle), Simon Weighell (100m Breastroke, 200m IM), Toby Willson (800m Freestyle), Tom Winder (100m Breastroke, 50m Breastroke), Charlotte Beck (200m Backstroke, 200m IM, 200m Fly, 100m IM, 50m Fly), Georgina Halford (800m Freestyle, 200m Fly) and Isabelle Martin (100m IM, 50m Breastroke).
Aled Jones was crowned Senior Champion in the 1500m and the 800m Freestyle, winning the Beds ASA Cups. Charlotte Beck took home an array of awards, winning the Junior Championship in the 100m Individual Medley and coming second and third in a number of other Junior and Senior events. Simon Liddle swam an excellent 200m Backstroke to come third in the Junior Championship.

In the team events, the 10 Year Boys Freestyle Team of Chris Murphy, Emilio Cuando, Harry Willson and Hayden Davies won their event with an exciting last-minute surge from Davies, whilst the Girls 10 Year Medley Team of Amy Foley, Isabelle Martin, Kayleigh Russell and Amy Fletcher came third, only narrowly missing out on the Silver medal.
The Club is now preparing for the final Championships session at the end of March.
